Toronto Reference Library Hindu Wedding | Kamakshi and Gaurav
Kamakshi and Gaurav’s wedding felt like it was meant to happen at the Toronto Reference Library. They’re both book lovers, so celebrating their big day surrounded by shelves of stories just made sense.
How It All Started
Gaurav’s proposal was incredibly thoughtful and very on-brand for these two. He took Kamakshi to the Gladstone Public Library under the pretense of checking it out as a potential wedding venue. What she didn’t know was that he had worked with the library staff ahead of time to fill a shelf with her favorite books. As she browsed, a string duo started playing At Last by Etta James. That’s when he popped the question. It was personal, sweet, and absolutely them.
The Toronto Reference Library Wedding Day
They got ready at Airbnb nearby, and Gaurav and his wedding party hopped on the subway to head downtown. It was such a fun way to start the day—and gave us a chance to capture some great, candid moments. The energy really ramped up with the baraat. Picture drums, dancing, and joy spilling into the streets right in the heart of Toronto. It was unforgettable experience for us because let’s be honest, baraat in downtown Toronto doesn’t happen often.
Their first look took place at Toronto Reference Library between the bookshelves. It was quiet, emotional, and one of those moments you don’t forget. Then came one of the most memorable parts of the day—Kam’s entrance in the glass elevator. It was such a striking moment that led into a beautiful Hindu ceremony, complete with the sacred fire, right there in the library. The whole wedding day was filled with meaning, love, and a feeling that every guest was truly part of something special. The evening wrapped up with heartfelt speeches, a packed dance floor, and so much laughter. You could just feel how loved these two are.
Why We Do What We Do
Weddings like Kamakshi and Gaurav’s are why we love wedding photography so much. Telling real stories, capturing the in-between moments, and seeing how each couple brings their own personality into the day—it never gets old.
