One thing Kate and Khaled have always shared is a love for being near the water, so choosing Spencer’s at the Waterfront in Burlington for their wedding just made sense. The venue has this modern, open feel with huge windows and an incredible view of Lake Ontario—you really feel like you’re right on the water.
They both got ready at The Pearle Hotel, which is just a short walk away. It’s such a beautiful and convenient spot to kick off the day. Instead of doing a first look, Kate and Khaled decided to wait and see each other for the first time at the ceremony. It made that moment extra emotional—when Kate walked down the aisle, you could feel the love and anticipation all around.

Right after the ceremony, we headed down to the waterfront for their photo session. One of the best parts about Spencer’s at the Waterfront is how many great photo locations are just steps away. Between the lake views, the nearby park, and the natural light, it’s honestly a dream for wedding photography. We love shooting there every time.
Something that was really important to Kate and Khaled was capturing the real stuff—nothing overly posed, just natural, candid moments. That’s exactly how the day felt. Full of laughs, happy tears, and so much emotion from start to finish.
And we can’t forget their entrance to the reception—it was a Zaffeh, with live drums and so much energy! Everyone was cheering, dancing, and having the best time. It was such a highlight of the night.
Kate and Khaled were amazing to work with, and their wedding at Spencer’s at the Waterfront was one we’ll never forget. We’re so grateful we got to be part of their day.
