The Hare Wine Co Winery Wedding in Niagara-On-The-Lake | Jenna & Shawn

Best Wedding Photographer in Toronto

The Hare Wine co wedding of Jenna and Shawn took place on a sunny, warm day in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake, and it couldn’t have been a better setting for their celebration. From the very beginning, their day felt relaxed, joyful, and full of genuine moments. Jenna and Shawn are the kind of couple who make everyone around them feel comfortable. They are kind, positive, and truly enjoy being together.

There is a natural elegance about them but they never take themselves too seriously. Throughout the day, they were fully present and deeply grateful to be surrounded by their family and friends. They made time for everyone – kids, grandparents, friends, and vendors alike – which showed just how much they value the people in their lives.

It was clear how loved they are, and how much that love was returned. Watching them connect with everyone around them made their celebration feel warm, meaningful, and personal.

All of this made Jenna and Shawn’s wedding one of our favourite celebrations of the 2025 season.

Getting Ready at the Prince of Wales Hotel

The day began at the Prince of Wales Hotel, where Jenna got ready with her closest friends. The room was filled with soft music, laughter and quiet excitement. Between hair, makeup, and final touches. Jenna enjoyed simple moments with her bridesmaids and the first look

These early hours set the tone for the entire day: calm, joyful, and full of connection.

First Look at Simcoe Park

Jenna and Shawn chose to see each other for the first time at close by Simcoe Park. Their first look was emotional, honest, and beautiful. When they met, both were filled with excitement and nerves, and their reactions said everything.

It was a private moment just for them, away from the crowd, allowing them to slow down and really take in what the day meant.

Ceremony and Reception at The Hare Wine Co

The ceremony and reception took place at The Hare Wine Co, surrounded by vineyards and summer light. The outdoor setting, fresh air and natural scenery created a warm and inviting atmosphere.

As Jenna walked down the aisle, all eyes were on her.  Their vows were heartfelt and sincere, and their first kiss as husband and wife was met with cheers from friends and family.

After the ceremony, the celebration continued with great food, meaningful speeches, and plenty of laughter. Guests enjoyed relaxing, connecting, and celebrating in a space that felt both elegant and comfortable.

Bride and Groom Session

Jenna and Shawn’s wedding at The Hare Wine Co wasn’t about perfection or following trends. It was about celebrating their journey, their people, and the life they are building together. Spending time with friends and family was very important to them, so we kept their portrait sessions short and intentional.

We planned a relaxed 20-minute session before the ceremony and an additional 15 minutes during sunset, allowing them to stay present with their guests while still capturing meaningful images. Even though the sun was hidden behind the clouds, we focused on creating a calm and enjoyable experience so they could truly savor this time together.

Conclusion

It was a day full of warmth, connection, and genuine emotion. One that guests will remember not just for how it looked, but for how it felt.

Jenna and Shawn, thank you for trusting us to capture such an important chapter of your story. Your wedding was a beautiful reminder that when two people truly enjoy life together, their celebration becomes something unforgettable.

Photographer’s Insights

From a photography perspective, The Hare Wine Co offers wonderful variety throughout the day. The vineyard, red brick buildings, and surrounding open fields create a beautiful mix of textures and scenery, resulting in many photo opportunities. The courtyard layout allows for 360-degree shooting, giving plenty of creative freedom, while the brick walls add warmth and character to images.

The evening light over the courtyard during the reception is especially stunning and creates a romantic atmosphere. Later in the evening, however, it can produce stronger shadows.

Ceremonies held on the vineyard lawn in the early afternoon can experience harsh sunlight, especially on bright, sunny days. There is no shade and during hot weather it can feel quite warm. In these conditions, colors may appear less soft. Fortunately, the large trees near the vineyard provide excellent shaded spots for portraits when the light is strong.

Sunset portraits can be slightly challenging, as the sun sets on the opposite side of the road, but with thoughtful planning, beautiful images are still very achievable.

And finally—an important detail for any wedding day—the food here is outstanding and truly one of the highlights of the venue experience.
