The Doctor’s House Wedding | Emily and Tyson

Best Wedding Photographer in Toronto

The Doctor’s House is one of the most well-known wedding venues in Toronto, and for good reason. It’s simple, elegant, and offers a lot of variety in one location, which makes the day run smoothly without needing to travel between spots.

We met Emily and Tyson about a year before their wedding to see if we were a good fit and to talk through their plans. It didn’t take long to connect with them. They’re easygoing, genuine people, and it was clear right away how excited they were to get married.

They’ve known each other since middle school, but didn’t really become close until Grade 9. From there, their friendship grew into a relationship in their final year of high school. It’s always nice to see couples who have that kind of history together—it shows in how comfortable they are around each other.

Their wedding took place at the beginning of October. It was sunny, but definitely cold. Even so, they didn’t let that affect the day at all. They stayed present, enjoyed every part of it, and just rolled with everything. That kind of attitude always makes a big difference—not just for the experience, but for the photos too.

The Doctor’s House Wedding Cost

Pricing at The Doctor’s House can vary depending on the season, guest count, and which space you choose on the property. In general, it sits in the mid-to-higher range for GTA wedding venues. Most couples should expect a higher overall budget once catering and other services are included, but the convenience of having everything in one place is a big part of the value.

Photographer’s Perspective

From a photography standpoint, The Doctor’s House is a very practical venue. You get multiple backdrops within walking distance—gardens, historic buildings, indoor spaces with good natural light—which means we can move quickly and keep things relaxed. There’s no pressure to rush or deal with transportation, and that helps keep the timeline on track. It’s especially helpful during colder months when staying close to indoor options matters.

Have peace of mind knowing your most important memories won't be missed.
