Sam and Tima are an outstanding couple. Their paint fight engagement session was a blast, so we knew that their wedding will be similar.
The day started with the bride and groom preparations. We love that part of the day which is very personal and fun. Not very often do you have a chance to prepare with your friends and your loved ones before your big day.
Just after preparations, Tima joined Sam at the Shaarei Shomayim Synagogue in Toronto where the ceremony and the reception took place. Their first look session was very unique. Tima was blindfolded and joined Sam who was waiting with her bridesmaids. They didn’t see each other but when Tima stood just in front Sam they knew that in a few seconds all would be revealed in the most beautiful look. What emotions! The first look was fun, untraditional and full of laughter.
We were thrilled to be a part of this traditional Jewish preparation and ceremony so rich in old customs and warmth provided by the guests and the couple. The ceremony itself was held under a beautiful traditional Chuppah which symbolizes the home that the couple will build together.
After the ceremony the traditional Horah dance, presented as a thrilling, loud and explosive showcase for the couple was something truly impressive and special. We loved being a part of this wonderful energy by often photographing from a ladder in the middle of this massive dance. What an amazing dance and what a great gift for the couple which I am sure they will never forget. The evening closed with a great reception, tasty food and a number of heartfelt speeches before more dancing.
It’s always such an honer and pleasure to be a part of our couples big day. They share with us not only their customs and believes but simply one of their most intimate moments of their lives.
Thank you Sam, Tima and all of your family and guests for making this such a very special day for everyone!
