Thursday afternoon in Toronto. A warm day with some clouds in the sky. When we were on the way to Stacie and Izzy’s wedding to capture their wedding day we knew that this day will be beautiful and special. We weren’t wrong. Stacie and Izzy decided to get married at the Graydon Hall Manor in Toronto. A beautiful mansion built in 1936 which has a really European vibe.
We met Stacie and Izzy last year. We had a great time during their fall engagement session. It was still more than 9 months to their wedding but they knew exactly what they want. They are romantics and the ceremony was the most important part. They knew that they want to use nature, fresh flowers and greenery to emphasize their love. The reception and the ceremony were both surrounded by enormous amounts of beautiful flowers!
Just a half an hour before the ceremony an enormous hail storm dropped on us! The sky got very dark and it looked like it was nighttime already. The weather didn’t destroy anyone’s good energy and shortly the ceremony started indoors.
It was very important for Stacie and Izzy to not see each other before the ceremony. Their emotions during the ceremony, when Stacie was walking down the aisle were everything. Both Stacie and Izzy were very present and we just love to capture raw, organic emotions which will remind them how they felt on this day in the future.
We love Jewish weddings! They are so energetic! A good start to the entire night is the Hora, an Israeli folk dance packed with an enamours amount of energy! Stacie and Izzy where lifted up on the chairs and were dancing together as they held a white hanker-chive! Capturing the Hora dance is a little bit tricky but we always try to choose different angles and go inside the crowd to show how it was to be there when dozens of people where dancing together to celebrate their love!
The Hora dance opened the evening’s celebrations which continued onwards with the great music from Soular. Great wedding bands such as this one have a way of energizing the crowd well into the night despite the long day and the tired feet. Spending time with our camera’s on the dance floor during this wedding was a pleasure.
A sincere thank you to Stacie, Izzy and their family for making us a part of this amazing day.
