In our opinion the Toronto Island is most beautiful in the fall, when fewer people decide to visit. Our September session with Morgan and Ali took place on Wednesday morning on the Ward’s Island, which was almost empty.
The line up to the ferry sailing away to Toronto Island was short, which meant that we were be able to catch a few shots during the short ferry ride. Everyone was in a great mood. Fresh morning air, the view of the Toronto skyline and the autumn sun which warmed us gently. All of these pieces helped us to make this session even more special!
The plan was simple: we will walk on the Ward’s Island and have fun while we capture those unique moments and that what Morgan and Ali feel for each other. Personally, it does not matter to us if the couple that we are photographing is of different sex or is a same sex couple as was the case at this photo shoot. It’s the love which joins all the unique people in this country that our images and our craft celebrates. Certainly this love and connection was clearly visible between Morgan and Ali. We truly love the images!
The Island was almost empty. This definitely created a great opportunity to forget about everything and let us just have fun! The girls were relaxed and felt like a fish in the water in front of the camera lens!
Ward’s Island is in our opinion a unique place where almost every thing is a perfect background for shooting. Small houses which look like they are taken straight from the movie “The Lord of The Rings”, the beach, the sound of the Lake Ontario and the huge space combined with the sparkling autumn colours on the trees.
We couldn’t imagine a better place, for this beautiful, laid back session with Morgan and Ali!
