2015 was a busy year at Ever After Photographers. One of our biggest notable milestones was the start of our ongoing relationship with Camp Oochigeas and all of their amazing staff, volunteers and campers. Camp Oochigeas (Ooch) is a privately funded, volunteer-based organization that provides kids with and affected by childhood cancer with unique opportunities for growth through challenging, fun, enriching and magical experiences.
The Camp operates at various sites: Residential (sleepover) Camp in Muskoka, at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), three other regional cancer centres across Southern Ontario and at Ooch Downtown, their urban recreational facility in the heart of Toronto. We feel sincerely honoured and privileged to volunteer our time and cameras to help capture their many events. There is something truly magical about the work done by the Camp. It’s a place where kids with cancer can be just kids. We are consistently amazed at the strength, beauty and courage which these kids clearly possess. Our captured images are used by the Camp in a variety of ways to help raise awareness and the funds required to operate such a great organization.
We can’t think of a better way to spend our time!
