Vancouver is well known from its “whimsical” weather. Especially during the rain season when you can mostly expect rain! Our session also had some complications in the way. We were suppose to meet on Saturday morning close to the Pitt Lake which is about an hour drive from Vancouver. It was raining all night and morning but we still had hope that the weather was going to get better. Of course, it didn’t. Also, Brianna and Danny had some problems with their car on the way. We decided to reschedule the session for a different day, hoping that next time we are going to have more luck. At lest a little bit more.
The second attempt was a few days later. This time we chose the Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver. Parks in Vancouver are amazing. A few minutes drive and you can enjoy the breathtaking nature. Especially after the rain, the colours are so intense and rich. Every time when we are in Vancouver we get so excited about having sessions there. Even when we have no sessions booked in Vancouver, we find it an amazing city to visit and we try to do so whenever we can. It’s true that recently during a four hour stopover in Vancouver we took a taxi into the city from the airport. Just to see the coastline at Coal Harbour and grab a quick lunch at one of our favourite restaurants. The view from this restaurants patio is not to be missed.
The nature in Vancouver simply stunning. Believe it or not this time we had a little bit more luck with our second attempt. An hour before the session, the sky cleared out and we even got some sunshine! We were so happy and we knew that this good weather can be gone very quickly. We took a hike in the park and enjoyed these amazing colours, majestic trees and the outstanding nature. Brianna and Danny were so much fun to photograph! Such easy going people. It was great to listen to their love story, talk about British Columbia and all the little things in our lives. We enjoyed every minute of the photo shoot.
Thank you Brianna and Danny! It was so much fun to explore the Lighthouse Park with you!
